The Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts is the highest science and art institution in the Republic of Serbia. It develops and encourages science, organizes and promotes basic and applied scientific research, encourages and promotes artistic activity. The Academy is an institution of special national importance. Its members are elected based on the results of their research or artistic work.

Visas

Partial list of countries that do not need visa for Serbia: EU and most of other European countries, USA, Canada, Singapore, Republic Korea, Russia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. For detailed list please check here.

If your country needs a visa to travel to Serbia, please choose an affirmative answer in registration form. All requests from legitimate scientific establishments indicating genuine connection to the conference will be granted a letter of invitation required to obtain a visa. Please note that due to changing regulations the time to obtain a visa may take a few weeks. More information about visas can be found here.

Travel Information

Belgrade can be reached by plane, train, bus or car.

The Belgrade airport 'Nikola Tesla' is situated 18km west of Belgrade. All major international and several low-cost airlines have regular service to Belgrade. Updated flight information is available here.

If you take taxi from the airport note that the price of taxi transportation from the airport to the city centre is approximately 1500 dinars (around 15 Euros). For additional help and information concerning transportation contact Organizing Committee.
A well developed network of railways connects Belgrade with all parts of Europe, by daily, as well as overnight trains. Timetable can be found here.
International bus lines operate to all neighbouring and most European countries on daily bases. Timetable can be found here.
Belgrade is located at the intersection of the European E-70 and E-75 highways. Foreign drivers in Serbia are required to have a national driver's license, traffic permit and an insurance policy. More information can be found here.
